The Young Performers is an exploratory program for young children which provides an introduction to Music, Voice, Choreography and Drama. Exceeding the National Standards of Music Education, we utilize the latest and most innovative teaching materials for a unique and one-of-a-kind experience, tailored to meet the needs and interests of our individual students!
Our Young Performers classes include musical instruments, singing, acting, movement, rhythm, and music notation. Students ages 3 to 5 learn the fundamentals of music through rhythm instruments, hands-on demonstration, workbooks and songs. They are introduced to classical themes and great composers in a memorable, exciting way with singing and drama. The Music for Little Mozarts curriculum makes this an exciting experience with music friends such as Mozart Mouse, Beethoven Bear, J.S. Bunny, Clara Schumann Cat, Nina Ballerina, and many more beloved characters!
Young Performers also experience the joy of bringing a story to life on stage in fully-staged and costumed Mini-Musicals - such as The Little Red Hen, Three Nanny Goats Gruff, Bob Humbug, The Three Piggy Opera - along with other performances and even a Handbell Choir! Give your child a head start in life as they develop self-esteem, cooperation, creativity, motivation, imagination and confidence!
Our virtual class is designed specifically for students wishing to experience this class in a virtual format. Fun, engaging acting exercises with the same creative themes and concepts, just in a different format to allow for remote learning and unique opportunities designed specifically for Zoom!
