The spotlight is on YOU!

MTTP is designed for students who want a performance approach to musical theatre study with a focus on applied technique. This is an excellent choice for students wanting to express their creativity on stage, desiring to take their talent to the next level, or wishing to pursue their passion for musical theatre beyond school programs and into college and community theatre.

Develop your technique during the fall semester.

Students meet every Friday in the fall to develop their musical theatre skills in the areas of acting, singing and dance. Whether you're just starting out or have a ton of performance experience, the instructor will challenge you to push ahead and reach your full potential. Grades 1-5 will meet at 6:00-7:00pm, grades 6-12 at 7:00-8:00pm. Audition workshops will prepare students for the individual auditions in October. The auditions will be for placement purposes; no cuts will be made; multiple casts with rotating leads are expected. Once casting is announced, students will be expected to learn their parts, memorize their scripts/songs, and be ready to apply their newly honed skills to the upcoming production!

Perform in TWO fully staged musical theatre productions in the spring!

The spring semester will bring added excitement and rehearsals. Students will rehearse on Fridays from 6:00-8:00pm and on Saturday afternoons (Jan-Jun 2:00-5:00pm), depending on their character. A rehearsal calendar will be posted once casting is in place - not everyone will be called for the entire rehearsal period. Details will be announced as confirmed, but the culminating performances will be a show-stopping production with amazing costumes, sets, lights and sound!

Everyone's favorite practically perfect nanny takes the stage in this Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious musical adventure.

One of the most popular Disney movies of all time is capturing hearts in a whole new way: as a practically perfect musical! Mary Poppins delighted Broadway audiences for over 2,500 performances and received nominations for nine Olivier and seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it."

Mary Poppins is an enchanting mixture of irresistible story, unforgettable songs, breathtaking dance numbers and astonishing stagecraft.

The irrepressible comic strip heroine takes center stage in one of the world's best-loved, award-winning musicals.

Based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Annie JR. features everyone’s favorite little redhead in her very first adventure.

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

With plenty of parts to go around and iconic musical numbers, this showstopper is non-stop fun for audience and cast alike!
