Garret Roberts is a Virginia native and has lived in the Hampton Roads area since 2011. He graduated from Christopher Newport University with a B.A. in Acting and a minor in Dance, and has received additional training with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Charlottesville Ballet.
Since graduating, Garret has been very active in both local and professional theatre, including performances at Busch Gardens, Kings Dominion, Williamsburg Players, and Hampton University Repertory Theater, as well as extensive roles within the community as choreographer, dancer, stage manager and more.
Combining his background in dance with formal acting training, Garret approaches theater education with the physical as a foundation, and believes that the root of an effective performance comes from physicality. How an actor relates with their body can take their performance and onstage storytelling to the next level.

Garret has enjoyed working with our musical theatre students for the past two years and looks forward to branching out into other classes and coaching sessions!
